Okay, Let me start off by saying I TRIED doing an LP of DKC in character as Grunt, however That was quite difficult and playing it for that long in that voice killed my vocal chords. So if I DO LP again, it WILL be banjo kazooie and I'm just going to be myself. I may have a friend join me too to make things a bit more intersting. The question is, SHOULD I? I DO have the time now that college is over so Yeah. What do you guys think?

minecraft: donkey kong's treehouse

I've been playing donkey kong country 3 and I was thinking how cool would it be if I made DK's tree house. I never gave myself the chance to to do until I spawned in a jungle biome. I finally got around to doing it by cutting down a couple trees, and finding the perfect spot; I got it done.

this here is the main build of the treehouse and uses a mod from the yogbox so I wouldn't need any blocks for a ladder.

So, sometimes something seems way too similar for comfort, be it a 100% clone, or just a few things here and there that seem really similar.

I think it's really cool when they do this with songs in video games, like the opening of Elecman's theme from Mega Man sounds like Journey's Faithfully, or like Banjo-Kazooie's Gruntilda's Lair theme sounds almost exactly like the Teddy Bear's Picnic.

Then there are games and franchises which seem like rip-offs, while others think the opposite, like how Bakugan is a rip-off of Pokemon.

Then there are those hilarious cheap knock-offs that people create just to make a quick buck.

Hi, I am BottlesTheLOL (that guy that teaches Banjo and Kazooie how to Shoop Da Woop and Nom Nom enemies).I am a big fan of the Banjo-Kazooie series. I completed Banjo-Kazooie 98% (All jiggies and notes, but not all empty honeycombs and remaining Mumbo Tokens) and in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, I collected everything (100%). In Banjo-Tooie, I have all the empty honeycombs and notes, but not all Jiggies and cheato pages (81 Jiggies). In Nuts And Bolts, I got 101 jiggies and all notes before trading it in. I also like the Donkey Kong games made by :rw:.

Just teeny tiny news but on twitter with Chris Seavor a.k.a. Conkerhimself was asked why Conker 2 was called getting mideval and he responded saying that getting mideval is not Conker 2, but was a spinoff to be a multiplayer only game set in mideval times, well ahead if it's time.

Okay, so in this thread, we can only talk in quotes from movies, games, TV and other things like that. Posting a short video clip of it usually makes it better, even a picture might be good depending on what kinda quote it is, but if you don't want to post a picture\video clip, that's perfectly fine, too.

I'm just going to find sites with famous quotes that I've heard, but from movies I've probably never seen in my life, I found some with sound clips and stuff too. :tongue:

And I know this is a really silly idea, but it's an idea I had and it seemed kinda fun.

Have you ever had any ideas for stories, animations, or similar things, but never had the time or motivation to finish them, or even start them?
Even if it's just a neat title you came up with, list them here!

A couple I've finished:
Journey to Ahel: A group of rookie transporters have to protect a princess on her way to a dying country while some mercenaries try to capture her for her mystical powers. Comic.
Super Mario Island: Generic survival story with...guess. Comic.
Becoming the Hero: In a Dark age-esque society where literally you earn a name once you accomplish something, a clumsy boy called Nobody attempts to redeem himself by plotting to destroy the enemy kingdom Colony. Comic.
Breaking the Curse: Sequel to the above. He is cursed by a street witch he deceived, and trapped in an evil doll's body. Comic.
Pokemon Alone: When Arceus destroys the planet, and few survivors remain, they join together in hopes of facing the Legendary and repairing the world. Book.

Ones I'm working on:

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Game: The stickied thread. Animation.
Machine: During a war, a boy's grandfather dies and leaves him with a device that can turn anything into a desired weapon, but the military is trying to hunt him down for it. Animation.
Junk Planet: A mishap in a demolition company leaves a distant planet in ruin; two girls try to cope in this new environment. Comic.
RWP404: The administrator of a small internet community plots to take over the internet, and it's up to a few podunk members to restore organization to the chaos. Comic.
Pokemon United: Sequel to Alone. Revolves around a Gabite trying to avoid the sinking of his home island 30 years in the past. Book.
Hunters: A young billionaire becomes bored with his life, and decides to hire a group to venture to find a mythical relic. Comic.

Unfinished or just titles:

Gardevoir's Bridge: A Gardevoir contemplates its life after losing its trainer in a volcano accident. Animation.

Descenders: Six people with odd powers become a team dedicated to destroying the corrupt scientific institutions that created their abilities. Book.

GREY

Unimmortal: Three children are cursed by a wizard to never die. After seeing everyone around them age and pass away, they decide to search for the wizard to reverse the curse. Comic.

Legend of Forte

Life Underwater: A marine researcher discovers a society of human-like creatures at the bottom of the ocean, which was thought to be void of life thanks to centuries of pollution. Book.

Rare Working on PGR Reboot?

This information came from a couple members over at NeoGAF snooping around.

An artist working for Rare recently put these up in his blog:

In his blog for one of the pictures he wrote, "Here's a little thing I've put together quickly for a undisclosed project. I tried to push the FX and colors to a level that should give it an almost in-game look.".

Here is the artists LinkedIn:

The artist does have other clients but none of them are as close to being as big as Rare or game related at all.

With all the recent hiring of race developers and these new pictures...a PGR reboot could definitely be what Rare is up to right now.

Things I want to see as Perfect Dark XBLA DLC

Alright, there's some things that I want to tell rare and 4j studios to make part of a DLC pack for Perfect Dark XBLA, and they are -
- Ability to play as a Skedar. Go ahead, criticize this, but I don't care if they have to make the full head a headshot zone, I just want to play as one of them. Plus, it would work better in CounterOp mode than Mr. Blonde.
- Ability to name simulants. Make it a bit more customizable, y'know?
- More. Classic. Maps. Seriously. At least include Library/stack/basement!
- Fix the Perfect Dark Zero save glitch. I have a save, I have an axhievement, but I have no cheats!
- More slots for custom setup saves. I ran out of room rather quickly, and I don't want to overwrite my other setups!
- The Silenced+Scoped Falcon 2 that was scrapped from the original should be available in multiplayer, and through cheats. Never understood why you could only have the silencer, scope, or neither on Jo's signature weapon. Why not use both?

Who here agrees with me? And who knows a way to get all this heard?

Hello! Don't hate me for the subject name, it's just to grab attention.

I'm Lucan! I am -
-a brony
-a major fan of Perfect Dark (I play it for at least three hours daily, usually a bit more)
-a guy who still has an n64 (Lost my GoldenEye cartridge, but I still have Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie, both of which I am horrible at)
-an XBox Live user
-somebody who is more than happy to try shoving his suggestions for DLC or an update in a game dev's face (I always fail, though. Hopefully my email to Rare's little Q&A thing can help me out a bit!)
-a writer (I'm a member of the Legend of Celestia fan game, as a writer)
-training my friend Brittany to be good at PD. Our skills have risen dramatically since I started!

So.. yeah!

Please don't hate the whole me-being-a-brony thing. I don't constantly refer to the show, and I try not to be too in-your-face about it. It's a fandom membership, not a medal of honor. I didn't do anything spectacular to get it.

Also, I play a 12 hole Ocarina.
