Hey guys, I am starting to work on a Conker Gmod "show" (if that's what you would call it), and I was wondering if any of you could give me some tips and such as how to make it.
My preview video is here:

        YouTube

<table class="tborder" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" 425 style="margin:10px 0">

                        YouTube

The format is going to be basically how the game would function as if it were a show: Conker gets trapped into insane situations, and also features other video game characters.
Although one critique I can't really take in is for the video to be full motion. I have no idea how to do that properly without it looking like a mess.
I know the camera is a bit all over the place, and I plan on fixing that for when I do the full episode.

Mumbo's Winter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHePc...ature=youtu.be

I quickly threw this together now and accompanied it with my old retextures of Mumbo's Mountain. It doesn't sound very winter-like, but it's the most ambitious Midi edit I've done to date. I realise the timpani and cymbal crashes are off beat -- I also realise some of it sounds a bit hectic. That trombone (is it a trombone) would have probably served better as a flute... oh well; enjoy. :)

Brentilda's Shell

https://soundcloud.com/taylorjohnathan/brentildas-shell

My first ever midi edit. If Brentilda had a seaside shell -- this would be it.

Fairy Grunty

https://soundcloud.com/taylorjohnathan/fairy-gruntilda

Mixing up the sisters' tunes. Sounds like a portion of Grunty's Lair that is already existent in the game. This was the second midi edit I did, so I wasn't too bothered with how it came out. Ignore the beginning -- that was me walking into Brentilda; and ignore the end -- I never finished it.

Hopefully I'll improve in the coming weeks after I get the hang of the tool.

Anyone made any remixes here?

I've recently gotten into the Frech Indie RPG OFF, and I have to say that this is a fantastic RPG. This game was originally created in 2003 using rpgmaker 2003, though when it was originally out it was only in French. An English version was made and released so that this amazing game can be enjoyed by everyone. The story of the game is that you're a controller of sort, leading a mysterious stranger only known as the Batter, as you go to purify the four zones of the world. The game's art style is second to none, but let the screen shots convince you.

We figured the best way to do it is to rename it via a site competition the winner will get an earlier version of The BK Editor.

You can suggest as many names as you would like in this topic and we will pick the best.

Due to time constraints on the release of Mumbo's Wand this competition will end on 10/5/2013.
Thanks

Hello everyone,

Before I begin here, I just want to say that I have complete and total respect for this project. After watching the latest released trailer, I'm very impressed with the engine that is being put together and the potential effect it could have within the Rare and Banjo-Kazooie communities (for those who are interested in such things). So complete props to Coolboyman, Skill, and everyone else who has had their hand in the development of this project. Now, to the subject on hand...

For those of you who aren't aware, I am currently running my own Rare website at www.rarefandabase.com I bring this up because RFDB was previously known as Rare-Elite, the very website that Lupaie exclusively developed the Mumbo's Wand video for in celebration of Banjo-Kazooie's 10 year anniversary. Now it has come to my attention that there is some controversy brewing over usage of the 'Mumbo's Wand' name. After reading the post and comments both here and at the Wii U Forums, I feel that I should intervene and try and create some resolution of sorts as I believe things are being blown out of proportion.

Lupaie himself just recently learned of the Mumbo's Wand fan engine. I myself, coincidentally, had just learned of it too a few days prior when visiting this very site. When I first saw the headline on the front page, the first thing that honestly came to mind was the video that Lupaie created. I thought it strange that after all of this time it would be being promoted here, so I clicked the banner and realized that it was something else altogether. That prompted me to write an article about Lupaie's video in an attempt to relinquish any confusion that the two projects could create due to their identical and now conflicting names.

Now I'm trying to view everything here from the perspective of all parties involved. I can understand Lupaie's reasoning at being upset due to the sheer amount of work and time it took for him to develop that video. I myself even had a small amount of work in it. It was developed for my website after all, as previously stated, and I wrote the script. So yes, it is honestly somewhat bothersome that it would be overlooked now despite the passing of the years due to the coincidental use of the same name.

On the other hand, I can also understand why those of you involved with this fan engine would be reluctant in wanting to change the name You yourselves have spent a sufficient amount of time developing this project and the Mumbo's Wand name has become synonymous with it. I do believe, however, that some awareness of the name should have been known due the simple fact that we were all prominent and active members of Rarewitchproject at the time. Lupaie's video was in the forums and even received its own news post on the main site itself via Mandy. I would personally think that the name would have struck a thought of some sort--however small--and could and should have lead to a very brief amount of research. My goal here isn't to try and lay claims to a name I have no rights to. It's simply to try and douse what is becoming a heated controversy. I know both projects are significantly different from one another, and get they're both being utilized in relation to the same company I.E. Rare.

All of us here have been been prominent members in the Rare communities for a very long time. Namely Rare-Extreme, Rarewitchproject, Rare-Elite and all of you here at RWC. I absolutely agree that this situation could have been handled much differently and I hope that out of respect for each other, we can all come to terms and properly settle this dispute.

I figured I'd better make my profile here, I've been hobbyless as of late, and coming up as a custom map maker in Mumbos Wand when it's out sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Also if you're impartial to my brand of forumeering don't worry, I'm just here for the mod for now.
So yeah nice to meet you sister site members.

For the next six days, the judges will grade each and every one of your submissions and will decide which ones are worthy of going further into the competition.

Each nomination will receive a score from one to 10. When a song gets a score of 7 or more, it goes through to the semifinals. Anything with a lower score will get eliminated.

Let the grading start...

Good day RWC! And welcome to the second season of...

The Magnificent Music of Video Games!

Once again, the members of this website will gather round and decide which video game track is the absolute best of all, which will not be an easy task.

There are so many great and wonderful video game songs out there and if you're anything like me, you have tons of them downloaded onto your iPod or smartphone. But which one is the most magnificent?

For the next month, we're going to determine which video game song deserves the winning title, and which ones do not. To help us with this daunting task are three esteemed judges from a variety of backgrounds. Some have composed video game songs themselves, while others have developed actual games.

Today officially starts the contest. You have four more days to submit eight video game songs. The jury members are allowed to submit up to 11.

Let us now take a minute to meet our jury, who will be judging the entire contest.

GameMasterGuy
Angry Ancestor
Dragoon

Co-ordinator/Event Planner: Lockdown738

These three toughies will scrutinize your nominations, and decide which ones are deserving of the winning title, and which ones will not.

I will be overseeing the contest, and making sure that everything runs smoothly.

There will be no set schedule for this competition, as times and dates won't be perfect for everyone.

For the first four days, everyone will have the chance to nominate up to eight video game songs from any video game known to mankind. Jury members are allowed to nominate 11 songs.

Let the contest...

Begin!

Rules

1. Fan made remixes of songs from video games are not permitted for nomination.
2. Do not coax jury members into giving a certain nomination a higher score.
3. Music from fan made games are permitted. However, only three of your nominations can be from fan made games.
4. Please watch posting embedded YouTube links. The thread should be easy to skim through.

Contest Format

Nominations - Members will be able to choose any video game track that they feel is really good, and is deserving of the winning title.

Jury Selection - Each of the three jury members will carefully examine their assigned video game tracks, and will give them a score from 0 to 10. Tracks that receive a 6.5/10 or more will advance to the semifinals.

Semifinals - Around three to four semifinals will be held, where members will vote which four video game tracks (from each semifinal) will advance to the grand final.

The Grand Final - The jury will be asked to award every track a score from 1-5 points, and members will vote for which video game track will win the contest.

So, I've come across this guy who's been making these really cool orchestrated covers for video games, and he's done a few songs for Banjo in the past.
Well, the same guy has decided to re-orchestrate all of the game's music, releasing it in one album on May 31st.

Grant Kirkhope himself actually caught wind of this and listened to a few of the songs, commenting that;
"I have to say that I'm really honoured that he's taken the time and effort to take those old rough sounding tunes and turn them into something that I think is fantastic."

Anyway, you can find some previews for it along with Grant's opinion on the website.

I'm pretty excited about it. I loved the first game's music, along with Grant's other compositions and hearing them remastered is going to be really cool.

Doing a quick search on here I didn't find any results, so I hope this hasn't already been mentioned.
