Hey guys, since quitting Runescape ~ 3 years ago, I've been really interested in server coding and client side modification. Although I'm not too good at it, I give it a go.
I've been on the private server scene for about 2 years now, and I've learnt a fair bit. I've never really admitted that I was into this stuff since Runescape is so frowned upon.
But, nonetheless, myself and a few friends in real life are beginning to code a server base. It will be the
FIRST server ever to integrate facebook technologies. We've chosen this API simply because of the audience Facebook provides.
Well, I'm posting this here anyway because I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Java and would like to help out. Also, when this is launched we will definitely need staff to administer and moderate the world(s) and forums. Since this is one of the only forums I ever go on, I'm willing to trial anyone that I know well on here if they have any RS2 experience.
Quality code, friendly staff and 0 bugs are the main aim of the server, we're looking at about 1,500 people online at any given time and this means we will need a bucket load of staff.
After I find a good base to work off of, I'll most likely release the server so people can train combat. The exp will be very slow relative to other servers. Why? Because I don't want a tonne of max level players everywhere. I want people to work hard and for a good economy to evolve.
Skills will be added in order of priority, this will help the economy grow and keep users eager to see more skill released.
Not much other than that has been finalised, we're not even sure where the starting area will be based.
