No, I meant emulate. In fact, most Rareware games are tough to emulate. Up until recently, many of the major N64 emulators for PC had a hard time keeping the framerate up. There were many graphical glitches as well.

Most of the time a game is difficult to emulate due to custom microcode, graphics can be due to the plugin and how it is interpreting the ucode.

Nintendo themselves would not have an issue with emulating as there is no guess work or hour and hours of figuring out how things are meant to be.

Ahh. You're totally right.

We haven't really seen many DK games recently. The last major one was DKC Returns. Maybe they're not seeing a huge DK fanbase?

Uhh what. DKCR is fairly recent, there was a racing game not too long before that, and then there was some DS game before that. There were four DK GC games, so if anything I'd say its had more installments since Rare left.

Yeah, I mentioned DKCR. That's pretty much the only major game we've seen in a while. We haven't seen a game like Donkey Kong 64 in ages. Most of the DK games post-Rare have been racing, save for the DK Jungle Climber games.

There were only two, and that's including the DKR remake. Nintendo's released two DK Wii games; that's on par with Metroid and Zelda.

There have been DK games, they just haven't been as popular as games such as DKC and DK64.

Yeah I'm wondering if it has to do with the new wii?

I think the fanbase is still really strong for DK, as you mentioned Returns was a major release and did very well.

I have no idea how nintendo manage the games that get released. It's hard to believe they would release Pokemon Snap a game that really wasn't very popular even when pokemon was huge and further more only feature Gen 1 pokemon so the new pokemon people won't even care about it, extremely confusing choice.

They also haven't released Yoshi's Island, I mean its part of the Super Mario World games how could they have not released it yet? I really don't get it at all.
