Question Banjo-Kazooie beta theories, info and stuff.

Yes, I know stop & swop is over. But that's what was so cool about the games!

Tons of secrets to be found in the code, and some things already in the game that lead to awesome theories!

I miss the old days of SNS, and we talked about it, shared theories,
and gave info on the beta.

Yeah, I know this stuff is old. But I REALLY liked talking about this stuff, reading about it, and finding out more in-game.

Anyways, I'll start out with a some stuff I discovered.

Mumbo's curse:

Remember the part of the lair with the Clanker's Cavern painting? You went through the pipe near the door to Treasure Trove cove, and found a hole that led to a warp pot, a level painting, and a mumbo token.

Mumbo taught Grunty how to use magic, and Grunty betrayed him and used the magic for evil. I think this is the area that Gruntilda cursed Mumbo. If I remember correctly, there's a big grayed out area where the mumbo token is. And there's also a hole in the pipe, like something broke it.

So my idea is that Grunty was sitting around the area where the warp pot is, and Mumbo was up where the token is. Teachers usually sit on a higher place when they teach to their students, so that's why the token is at an elevated position.

And then Grunty thought being good would be boring or something, so she said she wanted to use her magic for evil instead. Mumbo tried to stop her, but Grunty cast a curse on him, sealing his head in a skull mask. The recoil blasted the area, burning the wall and breaking open the pipe. The area could have had a door, which crumbled shut. And the painting could have been the Fungus Forest painting, but the curse affected it and turned it into a sewer filled with Panjo's poop.

I remember finding some other stuff, but I can't remember it right now.

EDIT: Oh, I just forgot that the CC painting was in the TTC painting room.

I think was the BGS painting, which makes sense as well.

BGS painting was in the CC area to the North, assuming the tower entrance is in the South.

Oh yeah, right... :P

I went to bed really late last night and I'm very derpy.
And I haven't played BK in a while either.

I just remembered another thing I noticed!

Blackeye's Trap:

Captain Blackeye was after the pink egg in TTC, and banjo got to it before him. Blackeye might have gotten to sharkfood island after banjo, and noticed the egg was gone, so he left another "Egg" in his cabin.

The red egg would have most likely unlocked Devil Bottles, which would turn the only one who can teach banjo moves evil. Therefore weakening him so Blackeye could get the pink egg from him easier.

However, the SNS eggs were to be transferred to Banjo-Tooie, in Banjo-Tooie there's someone else who can teach Banjo moves. So Blackeye's trap didn't work out so well, and he decided to go to Jolly's and "Drink his sorrows away", as another Blackeye related article which I can't remember the name of said.

Yeah, sounds like you're overthinking things. BK is a very lighthearted game.

Light Bulb Actually, that might have happened. XD

Actually, now that I look at it, you're right.

The only thing related to the beta was Mumbo's curse, and maybe only a little.

Blackeye's trap isn't even related to the beta, it only popped up because the red egg was in his cabin and Devil Bottle's was likely to be the red egg secret, So it could be assumed it's a trap.

And there goes my ADHD\Aspurgers, turning it into a semi-fanfiction.

Yeah, when you see one of my "Theories" you might want to skim it for the base of it.

I'll try to make more sense.

And yes, I don't know which of my (awesome) disorders causes what to happen.

*Goes back to play BK\BT and search for better stuff*

EDIT: I started played and decided to start at MM, and then I forgot about the beta and started running around like an idiot. I climbed Conga's tree and got the orange, gave it to Chimpy and tried to fight conga. He kept knocking me off because I kept on trying to dodge the oranges with the feathery flap. Then I just ran away to the start and then I did this:

Banjo: I gunna go crossed b- *falls in water*
Banjo: Ooh, library! *Swims around with the fishes for 10 seconds and gets over to the start of the level*
Banjo: Oh hi camera man!
Camera man: OH GOD GET AWAY FROM ME! *Runs away from banjo*
Banjo: WHARGARBL! *Keeps following the camera man very closely*
*Camera man follows banjo to try to get him back*
*Banjo turns around with a booger trying to share it with him*

And that's pretty much what happened, sadly I didn't have anything to record it with. Would've made a good blooper...

Then I went to RBB to try to finish up some jiggys. And my mom said "Start cleaning your roo-.

Ok, I went a little too far off topic.

But here's some info pretty much any Banjo-fan knows!:

Banjo's house originally looked more like a log cabin on the inside.
Banjo's bed sheets were originally red.
Mount fire eyes was made into the Fire side of HFP.
The Clanker's Cavern painting could've been in the pipe area with the red warp pot. (Most likely not true. I said that the CC painting was in there before, but I noticed mumbo tokens are usually in beta related areas of the lair. (Maybe))
Mumbo tokens are usually i- nevermind.
WW, GGM, and some other BT levels were originally intended to be in BK.
TTC was originally called Hammerhead Beach.

Quoting this from an older article that used to be on the site:

"The game was originally supposed to have 16 levels. There is a possibility that all the levels got finished. Most levels got moved to other games that were in development around the same time as Banjo-Kazooie. The levels were (Bold levels removed/beta): Spiral Mountain, Giant's Lair (Possible codename), Mumbo's Mountain, Mayahem Temple, Hammerhead Beach (Treasure Trove cove Beta Name), Clanker's Cavern, Bubblegloop Swamp, Freezeezy Peak, Gobi's Valley, Mad Monster Mansion, Rusty Bucket Buy, Click Clock Wood, Fungus Forest (Moved to Donkey Kong 64 As Fungi Forest), Glitter Gulch Mine/Mine level (Moved to Banjo-Tooie), Witchyworld (Moved To Banjo-Tooie), Mount Fire Eyes (Moved to Banjo-Tooie as Hailfire Peaks Lava side)."

Fix'd

Cool, I remember hearing about "Fair Level", "Mine Level", "Forest", "Mount Fire Eyes", and some other stuff, but that's still pretty cool info.

Also, the spell Gruntilda casts on Banjo at the end was supposed to hit him, turning him into a frog, and then you would have to play as Tooty or something and try to get back to Mumbo's hut without getting hit, or something.
