Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is a first-person shooter developed for the N64 in 1997.

The player begins the game is what is known as a 'hub' world, which leads to seven different portals, and plays as a man named Tal'Set, a Native American time traveling warrior. The main objective of the game is to collect the seven pieces of the Chronospecter. In order  to get these pieces without harm, the player must explore through the typically-based large jungle levels by swimming, jumping, climbing, crawling, and running. Enemies such as poachers, gunmen, indigenous warriors, dinosaurs, demons, and insects.

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was a commercial success, becoming the most popular Nintendo 64 title within the first few months of its release.
